The X-LOCK Type 1 General Purpose Thin Cut-off Wheel is ideal for general grinding of ferrous metals, including alloy steel, carbon steel and stainless steel pipes, sheet and channel, along with cast iron and wrought iron. This wheel is constructed of aluminum oxide with a resinoid bond for increased performance and reduced material waste. The X-LOCK quick change system provides up to 5x faster wheel changes versus a standard angle grinder mount. Simply pull the release lever on the X-LOCK Angle Grinder and change the wire cup brush- no tools needed. These wheels are designed to be used with Makita X-LOCK Angle Grinders (XAG25, XAG26 and GA4570 - sold separately) or any angle grinder with a 7/8 in. arbor. The thin, flat wheel design requires less energy for improved battery life when used with cordless grinders.
