The hammer mode can be switched on or off and the reverse mode has been redesigned to extend the lifetime of the replaceable carbon brushes; additionally, there is now no reduction in power when the drill is switched to reverse. The HP1641K has a compact design, with an adjustable auxiliary handle, depth stop, lock on button, and a large variable speed trigger. It is supplied with a plastic storage case and is suitable for drilling holes of up to 30mm diameter in wood, 13mm in steel or 16mm in masonry.
