The Forney 30 watt Soldering Iron has clean solder joint thoroughly prior to start, clean conductors with fine steel wool or fine sandpaper. Use isopropyl alcohol to remove thermal grease and dirt. Heat the work not the solder, apply tip to work and heat. Apply solder to point where tip contacts solder joint. Use just enough solder to make a good connection, remove tip and allow joint to cool undisturbed.
